Big Tall Boys Presents: Big Tall Boys the Movie

Let’s all go to the movies! That’s right, the Big Tall Boys movie is wrapped, completed, edited, finished and being aired before a live audience. So what better way to experience such a thing than listening along at home? Join me this week for a story that has never been told before and shall never be told again, about the corrupt podcast industry, the Smartless audio vampires, and finishing everything off by listing all of the production companies that helped me make this possible. It’s quote the sode, which is slang for episode.

The Big Leak

If you are listening to this episode than you probably already know what has happened. I, Alexander Krause, have been hacked. And not in the cool Cyberpunk net-runner kind of way. More so in the recorded my credit card in a TikTok kind of way. But it’s okay, because this is the perfect time for me to demonstrate my excellent PR training. So join me as I listen back over the leaks and justify elevator pitches, airplane blackbox recordings and the glory of the PlayStation Vita. I would listen to this episode.

The Musical Soundtrack

Ba da dum! Every movie needs a soundtrack. And every musical needs a musical soundtrack that is somewhat confusing without the accompanying visuals. This week we continue our quest to construct the Big Tall Boys movie. So join me for an introduction from the Muppets three, a sad-sack ballad, and rhyming ye. This episodes a delight and you will be delighted.

Making Trailers

This summer experience the event of a lifetime! That’s right, we’re making trailers. What kinds of trailers? I’m talking goofy. I’m talking dramatic. I’m talking strange sci-fi nonsense. All of the genres, all of the films, all of the time. Everything Everywhere All the Time? No, not that movie. But I am looking forward to it. I’ve lost track of this description. It’s just good clean fun. The cleaner the better. Oh, and here’s all the royalty free tracks I used, and no I didn’t order them properly:

Watching Teenagers From Outer Space

In the not too distant future my podcast film is coming out, so I best prepare by watching how the masters did it before me. This week I watch the 1959 smash hit Teenagers From Outer Space, and in turn you will be listening to the audio with my commentary. I am not too sure of the appeal of this episode, but I had a great time laughing about Derrick, Thor and bone guns. If you don’t like it then repeat to yourself “it’s just show, I should really just relax.”

Q and A

You’ve got questions, and I in turn must fulfill the promise of answers. That’s right, this week I explain, justify, and talk about my upcoming film through the guise of “your” questions. Join me for childbearing superiority, Star Wars venting, and some surprise messages from my past, present and future selves. I hope this episode leaves you with a grand ole Skarsgard smile.

Bonus Episode: The Upload

B-B-B-Bonus! This week, instead of your regularly scheduled episode, we have a very special bonus episode! Where-in I will be detailing the backing tiers for my brand new film project. I’m talking $10 backing rewards. I’m talking $25 backing rewards. These rewards are crazy, wild, and a third adjective! Also B-B-B-Bonus, while recording this episode I was being uploaded into the net to preserve my consciousness. What? What does that even mean? I’m not sure, but it happened.

Celebrity Cold Call

Ring Ring! Who’s there? It’s me, Alexander Krause. And you know what that means? Leaving a lot of voicemails. Join me this week as I cold-call celebrities, distribution studios and catering companies, to try to get the ball rolling on my soon rolling film. Also if you are in need of a projector it might be a good idea to hit up Garry Clements. He lives in Warrandyte, but if he is away the man vacations with his family in Echuca.

My SNL Audition Tape

47 characters! Yep, this week I showcase forty-seven mostly distinct characters in an attempt to get onto the long-running sketch program Saturday Night Live. And what more I do Weekend Update. Yeah, for some reason on top of making up 47 characters I thought it’d be neat to do a li'l Weekend Update. This episode has everything: being confident enough to put in eye-drops, far too many characters named Kringo. and the gremlin that controls Joe Rogan’s flesh suit.

Fanmale

Alex is back at it again with one of his signature podcasting segments: fanmail! But this time, it’s spelled fanmale. Because it’s a fun portmanteau that reflects the episode’s content. Join me this week for male stereotypes, sympathy crashing, and dead fish comparisons. And hey, if you want your fanmail featured on the show send an email to bigtallboys@gmail.com. If you get an automatic “out-of-office” response that is only a deterrent to bill collectors. Happy mailing!

Crown Casino (w/ Jackson Taylor-Dobson)

Drumroll! Ratatatatatatata -- That’s right. It’s more of those blasted audio soundscapes, and this time we’re going big time at Crown Casino. And what more I’m joined this week by the titular and eponymous Jackson Taylor-Dobson! Join us for fire shows, under the sea dances, and Hotel Transylvania tie-ins -- we promise they are tangentially Crown Casino related. Sound me out with a drumroll! Ratatatatatatata!

The Interview (w/ Jason Rout)

Despite what my lazy will-writer will tell you, I won’t stick around forever. So it’s about time that I start interviewing potential replacements for this show. And hey, who better than a man who has made a career on the imitation of others? Join me this week in welcoming Jason Rout onto the podcast for the interview of a lifetime. Plus, we get the lowdown on the man’s involvement in Australian politics and the Harold Holt disappearance. It’s the kind of episode that only comes about once in a lifetime -- or maybe twice -- but definitely not three times.

Microphone Reviews

Is this thing on? Are you wanting to get into the podcast game but aren’t sure what microphone is worth your time, money, and mouth? Well, I’m here to help. This week I review a variety of microphones to get down to the age old question “what sounds good?” Join me this week for hypnosis, complicated descriptions, and escaping a swarm of bees. Microphones, they make the world go sound.

Unhinged

Oh the measures we take to find true love. Hinge now does voice prompts, so you know what that means. I’ve loaded up the ole podcasting software, dusted off the ole microphone and screamed at it for nearly thirty whole minutes. That’s right, this week’s episode is nearly thirty minutes long. Join me as I discuss how apps like Hinge enable us to be our true selves, and how the dating landscape is a beautiful garden where love can be plucked like apples from a tree. On an unrelated note, are people still trying to get ‘/s’ to denote sarcasm?

Twenty Twos

Christopher Nolan has tried and tried again to deliver mind-bending cinema spectacles, but has yet to deliver his trademark style in the podcasting space. Isn’t that interesting? This week I record twenty segments and shuffle them using a randomiser. Will this create a worthwhile listening structure that keeps you engaged? Probably not, but hey, it technically counts as an episode.

Best Boys

Another year another podcasting triumph baby! That’s right, we’re counting down my top ten moments of the year. Real moments. Are you accusing me of doctoring these clips to make this podcast, and in turn myself, appear more interesting? Rude. No. How dare you. Join me this week as I recall meeting my clone, insulting jurors, and becoming unstuck in time. Belated Christmas wishes and happy New Year!

TIWIS - Christmas

Those dang soundscapes are back at it again, and this time their premise is broader than ever. That’s right, tune in this week for the sounds of Christmas. Lights, Santa, Baubles? You better believe there’s baubles. You’ll be drowning in baubles. Join me this week for va-va-voom Barbie commercials, petitions against firemen calendars, and a musical hit that finally gets down to the drummer boy’s wealth. This really is a big ole Christmas spectacular kind of episode, so I hope you enjoy it. No, I guarantee you’ll enjoy it. Merry Christmas!

SEHOHOHO

Tom Holland Feet pics! This one trick will help you lose weight. You won’t believe Emma Stone’s new back tattoo. That’s right! It’s SEHOHOHO. That special time of year were we optimize our search engine by not merely referencing current events, but following them to their natural conclusion. Do you have questions about today’s hottest headlines? Are you unsure of how this qualifies as a Christmas episode? Do you want to hear an original rap? Yep, as the premise falls apart I share a rap. A rap. It’s got all of your favourite SEO people in it and a large section of the American Alt Comedy scene. Why did I write a rap? You’ll just have to listen to sort of find out.

Home Alone Gift Guide

The giving season is upon us, and what’s a better gift than an outline for a new Home Alone film? Kevin McCallister now works for a toy company, and gets wrapped up in what is essentially the plot of Paul Blart Mall Cop. Also, fun fact, if you were thinking of getting me anything for Christmas there is only seventeen nights left, so you should be ordering and sending off gifts right now. What to get me? I’m sure you’ll think of something. Oh, right sorry, where was I? Join me this week as Kevin protects the PAW Patrol Dino Patroller, drives a Model S, and spots thieves on the security offices LG UP80 86” 4K Ultra HD Smart TV.

Ad-VENT: A Year in Review

It’s December 1st! So bust out that advent calendar and listen along as I share some fans venting their frustrations at the show twenty-five times over. That’s right, this week I’m reading twenty-five collated reviews from fans, friends and foes alike. So join me as I read thoughts shared by my ex lawyer, concerned mothers and the manager of a Target Country. Did I mention Tom Hardy’s Venom is discussed? It’s a Christmas miracle!
